Gotta Love 'Em

The very first time we went on a puppy visit Otis seemed as though he was the smallest thing I had ever seem. He was dwarfed by Shane's big hands as well as the Otis key chain on his collar. He was about 8 days old in this picture. We went each week to visit and bond with him. He grew quickly and was soon home with us. We did about a year of research before we decided on a breed. I must admit that the research paid off and we are very happy with our boy.
Well, here we are and he is 15 months old. He is a big boy now and we knew that a giant breed dog would pose some challenges. His head is about 4 inches off on the counter so nothing is left unattended. He ate a hot dog and bun before we could even move to stop him. A few sticks of butter have disappeared as well.
Last week I heard an all too familiar crinkling sound and knew he had gotten into something. I found him with some rice cakes. I put them back on top of the refrigerator and went on with what I was doing. Imagine my surprise when I came into the kitchen to see him with his feet on the freezer helping himself to some chips from on top of the refrigerator! This picture is of his twin............. this is what he looks like.
