We have been navigating the quirks that Jack has with no formal medical diagnosis of any kind. Today was FINALLY his appointment at Golisano. When his MD was not convinced by the testing done last year at school we scheduled to have him seen at the Kirsch Center at Golisano. Jack chose to be at the diagnostic meeting at the end of our all day visit. I was concerned that hearing his official diagnosis may be more than he could handle. I must say that he was precious. The doctors seemed to enjoy him as much as we do! One of the diagnosis was (NO surprise, we didn't need an MD for this......) ADHD. Jack was so thrilled that he yelped YES! He then went on to explain that after all, demigods in Greek Mythology have ADHD so now he could tell everyone that he too is a demigod. Being an avid reader he blew through all of the Percy Jackson books last year that are about mythology. The doctor said that she would be using this information to her advantage in the future!
