Jack got a model rocket for Christmas. He had been wanting one. We discussed the safety precautions with him and told him not to assemble it without his father/uncle. I got the kids off of the bus a few months ago and went into the bathroom. I heard a familiar noise and came downstairs to rocket engine smoke and a son with a burned hand. Not only did he set off the engine but it was in his hand. He burned himself and his shirt. We are thankful that there was only minor damage to Jack. Today he came in the front door with blood dripping off of his face. He had taken the darts from our dart board outside and was throwing them in the air. He impaled his head with one! It is a minor puncture wound but he scared me to death. Then he says "at least I'm getting my 'stupid' out while I'm a kid!" I SURE DO LOVE HIM!
