I am not a very good gardener but I give it my best. I'm a very good eater so that is my encouragement. Last year we planted 3 large half barrel containers with strawberry plants. Today we got our first berries from the June bearing plants. They are sweet and delicious and we are thrilled at how many berries are growing.

Last year a gopher/woodchuck (or beaver as Claire calls him!) ate all of our green beans. We were frustrated so this year we planted some in the garden and some in pots on our deck. They are pole beans and the ones on the deck are finally starting to climb the poles. They are lush and healthy looking so hopefully we will get tons.

We are also excited about just how many raspberries are on our plants. On the down side we are sprouting MILLIONS of tiny weeds that will need to be pulled soon..........

Last time I was at my local garden store they were having a buy one, get one special on their 6 packs of petunias. Mine look great so far.
