On Wednesday my Primary Care Doctor convinced me to get the seasonal flu shot. His reason was that since I was hospitalized for over a week recently that I was at greater risk of being hospitalized with the flu due to my Crohn's. So I gave in. I was given the vaccine around 2 PM Wednesday. By 3 AM Thursday I was already sick. And of course I am suffering from ALL of the side effects listed on the CDC web site!
* swelling, soreness and redness at injection site
* hoarseness (I have NO voice and a sore throat)
* cough
* aches (I feel like I got hit by a truck)
* fever
So if the flu vaccine made me this sick would getting the flu have been any different?
