So, we started with purple Formica. It was UGLY but must have been high quality because it didn't have a mark on it. I admit that I was never nice to it; I cut on it, put hot pans on it and used harsh cleaners.
From purple Formica to neutral quartz! We are finally officially
ALMOST done with our kitchen.
The back splash needs to be sealed and we need to decide on new
lighting fixtures but other than that we are done. We are so thankful for out dear friend, brother and rent-a-husband Sean. He does GREAT work. He refinished our cabinetry, painted and installed the back splash. The only new appliances are the microwave and dishwasher. I was able to find the perfect green after my second trip to Homearama this year. We are new found fans of Sherwin Williams paint. I love my Blanco sink. I'm glad that the counter store convinced me to buy a good sink. It is wonderful. My new faucet is great as well. Sean refinished all of the wood and we replaced all of the hardware with satin nickle. What a difference. The windows look new now that they are refinished. I am really happy with the paint color and the whole project just came together so perfectly.
