So when you have a big dog everything concerning the dog is BIG. He sleeps on a twin bed, (we have an old mattress on a floor level trundle frame) his crate is huge enough for a crib mattress, he has big food bowls and giant toys. Otis is a Great Dane that is great in many ways. He is a real lovey dog but he likes to be the center of Shane's attention. Lately when Shane and I hug or sit close to each other, Otis has his nose as close to in the middle of us as possible. He LOVES to have someone lay down on his bed with him. It has been a bit cooler in Rochester so we are back to our cold weather bed time routine; Otis gets covered with his blankets at night! Due to their very thin coat Danes do not do well in temperature extremes. He does not tolerate hot and cold well.
