June was a busy month for us (well, Claire mostly!). On June 1st we sat down to dinner and Claire asked if we all knew what "today" was. We were stumped. She let us know it was the first day of her Birthday Month! And it sure lasted all month. She wore her birthday crown with pride. Claire had a wonderful pool party to celebrate with "the girls". Claire also had her recital for her Hip Hop dance class. The class did an amazing job and the girls got to know each other better too. Their teacher, Rocco, was very patient with the "first timers". Claire got to celebrate her birthday at a fancy lunch with Grammy and Grandpa at the Woodcliff. She really enjoyed having time alone with them. Nana and Poppy got her a week at cooking camp which she excelled at! They also got her an apron and chef hat with her name on them. She had been asking for a chef hat for about a year! Jack had a special day in June too. He had a Moving Up Day ceremony to celebrate the end of 5th grade. He earned the President's Gold Award for Academic Excellence, the highest academic award! We are very proud of his success. He didn't waste time putting his pin on his shirt!
