At the beginning of July we headed out to The Hill Cumorah to participate in the Hill Cumorah Pageant. I saw it for my first time in the mid 80's. We have been attending for the past 9 years and for the past 5 Shane has worked security and parking cars. This year we got to be part of the cast and it was spectacular! We had to report on July 2. We were quickly cast into our rolls. Jack was a "Noah Citizen". He was on the stage for the burning of Abinadi which made him happy. After his first rehearsal he had figured out how the propane worked! Shane and I both got 2 parts. We were Alma converts so we were in the scene where Alma baptized Helam. We both found that scene VERY moving and were brought to tears during many rehearsals. AND, drum roll please........ Claire was the child healed by Christ after his resurrection! Once he appeared I ran up to ask him to heal my child, then Shane had to carry her to the Savior. What a beautiful scene to be blessed with! The young man that portrayed Christ was 18 and about 6' 6". He was wonderful with Claire! Our 2 weeks in Palmyra were wonderful and what made it even better was that we were with friends. The Bybee's, Schwendiman's and the Fraser's were there with us. We never would have survived the 110 degree heat or the monsoon rains without them.
